Aljunied FC?

My church has a wonderful name called Agape. So it should be Baluku United 3 - 0 Agape FC.

Balukus United??

Please don't try to disguise our identities.. It should be Whipping Boys 3 Aljunied FC 0 man.

Balukus United 3 Aljunied FC 0

Baluku United recorded their 3rd win of the campaign with a convincing 3-0 victory over struggling Aljunied FC.

On a windy Sunday afternoon, the away side took the lead with an individualistic goal from top scorer Eric. Taking his season’s tally to 10 goals in 8 matches, he nicked the ball away after it got a lucky deflection off one of Aljunied's defenders, before curling the ball into the far corner, beyond the despairing hands of the goalkeeper. After the goal Aljunied made several substitutions in a bid to counter the dominance and strength of the Baluku Warriors.

A tactical switch saw Zhi Hong moving up alongside Jun Wei who recently had been dubbed “The Drog” for his menacing decoy presence in the box, and that move paid off after he intercepted a weak pass from Aljunied FC, side-footed a defender before smashing the ball in off the post with his weaker right foot for his 2nd goal for the club.

The frustration got the better of the home side and eventually started to play physical games, with RoSICKy shouting out ‘tackle hard’ like a war cry.

To their credit, the Balukus remained focused on their tasks and key midfielder Gabriel was at the heart of the team’s defence and attack to ensure that goalkeeper Jason had only flies to worry about.

As the game wore on Aljunied’s stamina deficiencies started to take its toll. Makeshift libero Eric intercepted a pass, and combined with Jun Wei to give the latter a perfect through pass, which Jun Wei met with equal grace.Jun Wei then made no mistake to score his 4th goal in 6 matches by ghosting past Sami Hit-Pia, before blasting his shot into the net via the post.

The Balukus threatened to put the scoreline embarrassing with a series of chances. Jun Wei hit the post with a right-footed effort, Jason hit the woodwork with a downward header, and Gabriel’s runs almost resulted in a long range goal that narrowly crossed the bar.Wee Reng who for the first time in his career played as a winger, did well on this occasion as he made sure he pegged back Aljunied FC's top player who is also known as Jason.
